Joe Boyd and Family Move to Ashland Oregon

Joe Boyd and his family left for Ashland Oregon on Tuesday. He moved here in 1909 and has been a faithful resident and planter near town. Walter Boyd moved to Medford two years ago and will join them in Oregon. The community expresses regret at their departure and wishes them prosperity.

J S Eaves purchases the Hamilton and Melton flock. About 12 000 lambs will be delivered and weighed at Hager man around Oct 1 at 5 cents per pound by J S Eaves Plains Stock Company. The sheep were sold to Kansas City buyers.

Eye and ENT Specialist to Visit Lovington

Dr. Jamison Vawter of Ganesville Texas and specialist in eye ear nose and throat diseases will be in Lovington for a few weeks. He fits and grinds his own lenses and can duplicate broken lenses and provide complete spectacles on short notice. He is available at Dr. Deerduff's office from 10 to 12 a.m. and 2 to 6 p.m.

Re Recording of Brands Required by Law

The New Mexico Cattle Sanitary Board requires all owners of recorded brands not in current use to re record within six months from September 10, 1912. Failure forfeits all rights to the brands. Circu lar letters and renewal blanks will be mailed to holders to facilitate timely renewals. Send renewals promptly upon receipt to avoid lapsing brands, says Secretary W J Linwood.
