Lovington School Opens With Enrollment Of 86

Lovington Public School begins on Monday with 86 students across the Principal, Intermediate, and Primary departments. Sunday School Meeting in Lovington Elects New President

The Lovington Sunday school class for young ladies met at Mr and Mrs P S Yes home on Friday evening. Wise Mary Eaves was elected president succeeding Miss Exa Jechiel who moved to Seminole Texas. After min or business the group adjourned to the dining room for cake and lemonade. The class praised the meeting and entertainment and noted growing numbers and interest.

Dr Jamison Vawter of Ganesville Texas, renowned for eye ear nose and throat work, will be in Lavington for several weeks. He fits and grinds lenses, duplicates broken lenses, and provides spectacles complete on short notice. Availability at Dr Dearduff's office from 10 to 12 a.m. and 2 to 6 p.m.

Seminole Signs Contract For T. G. and N. Railroad

Seminole signs a contract with Geo A Ryan for the Texas Northern and Gulf Railroad to build from Midland to Tucumcari via Seminole. Construction to begin by November 9 1912 and operations to start in Seminole by June 1 1913. A $65000 bonus, land or cash, and right of way are pledged with $50000 paid on entry and balance after northern connection.
