The shop aims to serve the Plains country and transcontinental traffic, despite being distant from the railroad, with travelers passing through Bronco and Clark's Gap toward Roswell.

A quiet Sunday afternoon ceremony united Miss Nettie Scott and Mr. John Haney at the bride’s parents home with Rev. L O Cunningham officiating. Haney, assistant cashier of Seminole National Bank, is a rising local business figure, and the bride is a Seminole native and 1912 Seminole High School graduate. The Sentinel joins friends in wishing them happiness and prosperity.

Hamp Eaves and Mrs Obie Maben of Bronco Texas were secretly married in Seminole on Tuesday. The couple surprised many friends here as The Leader extends best wishes for many happy years of married life.
The Leader urges establishing a permanent annual fair at Lovington each fall to include Plains across Eddy and Davis Counties under the name Jains Fair. It calls on farmers stockmen and local businessmen to organize within six months to ensure success.
For twelve days showers blanket the Plains with heavy rains filling lakes and worsening roads across the region. Auto mobile travel remains difficult and the U.S. mail car has faced trouble delivering into town on recent trips.
