Ota H. Fox a longtime Lubbock resident and brother of E. J. Fox and the late Lester D. Fox died of a heart attack Friday evening and was buried at Tech Memorial Gardens Sunday afternoon. He is survived by his wife and two daughters Elizabeth Hartman Vermillion South Dakota and Margaret English Lubbock. He was preceded in death by brother Lester of Tatum and another brother DP, plus thirteen Fox children include three sisters Mrs Sallie Copeland Corpus Christi Mrs Tina Robbins San Angelo and Mrs Mame Ponder Holland. Relatives from Tatum attended the funeral.

Old Timer J W Jackson Dies in Lovington
John William Jackson aged 84 died at his Lovington home on October 26 after moving to Lea County in 1911 from Knox County Texas. He worked as a farmer and rancher, was a Baptist, married Ellen Abshier in 1895, and leaves daughters Dollie Abshier C J Beach and Harry Rogers, son Steve Jackson, two sisters and a brother, 22 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Butane Truck Fire Dodged Major Disaster in Lovington
A butane gas truck carrying 14 040 gallons caught fire at Main and Central in Lovington around 9 30 am. Driver Leon Devers Hobbs used an extinguisher before firefighters arrived to control the blaze. Deavers suffered burns. the truck owned by Eddings and Welcher Midland was towed from the scene with police escort.

National's Body Sent to Mexico After Truck Accident
Relatives of Juan Jose Antiveras, a National worker, have finally located after ten days of negotiation through the Mexican Council in El Paso. The body was sent to Mexico on Monday Oct. 25. Antiveras died Friday Oct. 25 at Lea County Hospital in Hobbs from injuries in a freak truck accident.
