A section foreman in Naples California reported thirty six sticks of dynamite under the Calitan viaduct twenty miles north of Santa Barbara hours before President Taft’s special train crossed the span. A night watchman fired on two men, who fled. dynamite was recovered by Sheriff Wines and deputies.
To the voters of Eddy County, C. F. Erb declares candidacy for County Treasurer and asks for support on November 7, 1911.
The First Territorial Bank appeals to the Lovington community to support the local bank. Approved plats for Townships 15 and 16 south Range 35 East and Township 14 south Range 37 East were filed. Lands may be entered starting 9 AM November 20, 1911, per Register T. C. Tillotson.
