EMINOLE SIGNS FINAL CONTRACT FOR TEXAS GULF AND NORTHERN R R

A telephone note reports Shell and Robt Malone confirming final contract signing for the Texas Gulf and Northern line to Seminole. Grading of the Midland to Seminole stretch not yet let, but work is promised to start by November with operation to Seminole by June 1, 1913, as officials anticipate rapid progress.

Land Commissioner Ervien Tours 13 New Mexico Counties

Land Commissioner Robert P. Ervien visited thirteen counties in New Mexico to assess public lands. He traveled by automobile with his party from Albuquerque toward Santa Fe and reported encouraging conditions with strong agricultural prospects in each county visited.
