Lovington sightseers return from Roswell Fair pleased with the exhibit of products and attractions. They note airship talk amused locals enjoying rough riding stock show and other sights while statehood debates keep eyes on New Mexico’s future. Notice of approved township plats filed for entry after November 20, 1911.
The Leader announces Robert F. Love as a Democratic primary candidate for Representative to the Legislature. He has spent most of his life on the plains and aims to represent Plains people without favoring any local faction. He is known across Eddy County for honesty and integrity and seeks votes across the entire county.
Grantham Walker and Dr Deepp spoke Tuesday night in Lovington for State Senate candidate Deepp. Osburn followed Wednesday night outlining his campaign plan for Plains voters. All speakers praised by locals as respected leaders in the county.
Lester Blair of Mountainair Texas born nine year old weighs 76 pounds and stands five feet tall. He arrived with his father, now a Santa Fe railroad foreman, to Mountainair where the family lives.

The Religious Sirvicd Union holds Sunday School every Sunday at 10 a.m. Rev Geo W Wysor Presbyterian minister will occupy the pulpit first and third Sundays at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Rev James Roden Baptist minister will serve second Sundays at the same hours. Rev W L Self Methodist minister covers the fourth Sunday. All are invited.
Whit Wright of Artesia New Mexico seeks the Democratic primary for Commissioner District 2 in Eddy County. The Leader endorses William H. Merchant for Eddy County Treasurer highlighting his efficient office management and unanimous party support. Merchant’s long standing family ties and proven public service are cited as reasons he should continue in county and state politics under statehood.
