The Lovington School District submits the borrowing report for the Citizen High School for the first month ending October 4 1912. Details cover patron accounts and materials loaned during the period at the district’s facilities.
Lovington stock interests rise with large deals via local commission house. Cattle range is excellent, lamb shipments to Kaneb City, and more shipments planned. Homestead activity stalls though improved land offers exist for home buyers. Miss Eulalia Robbins and Mrs Allen of Midway visited Lovington yesterday. J A Crow traveled to Kansas City to procure goods for T M Ancell's store.
Elijah Andrews was laid to rest last Sunday at 1 o clock in Lavington Cemetery. Rev Rodan conducted the service. Family from Knowles and Big Springs attended along with many friends. J H Martin of Lovingtom Auto Co sent the hearse, but burial was postponed to Sunday morning.
W V Moore traveled to Seminle last week and came back Wednesday evening, according to local notices.
Horace L Stockton of Lovington NM filed for final three year proof on land described as S1-2 Section 31 Township 15 South Range 35 East New Mexico Principal Meridian. Walter Attaway of Pearl New Mexico has filed five and three year proofs to establish land claims described in serial numbers 012552 and 020523. Proofs will be made before Wesley McCallister U S Commissioner in Lovington New Mexico on November 6, 1912. Attendees include Charles Cavender William Jackson William J. Pruitt Nathan C. Roberts and J C Tillotson as Register.

R. H. Love digs a crop of sweet potatoes on irrigated land one mile southwest of town and notes that water from two wells and a centrifugal pump sustains abundant water. His truck shows that irrigation proves profitable for his growing truck crops this year.
S. C. Humphreys and wife of Wichita Kansas are en route to Carlsbad and have bought an irrigated farm near Dayton, planning to settle in the county. Their car wheel was torn by a mud skid near Plainview and they wait for repairs.
The Presbyterian gathering started Oct. 4 with strong interest. Mr. Kidd preaches to many who have professed faith, and the meeting will continue through Sunday. Warmth and attendance are encouraged despite cold weather as prayers rise for salvation and strengthening of believers.
