Final rites were held Monday at 2 P M in Lovington Chapel for Angeline Wagnon known as Ann born March 20 1870 aged 86 died March 11 1956 in Lea County Hospital Hobbs. She was a widow married 1893 died 1905 and is survived by three children Edgar M Wagnon Buckeye Arkansas J W Wagnon Stephen Arkansas and Mrs B B Morris Lovington plus 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Burial was in Lovington Cemetery with casketbearers listed and she was a Baptist church member who lived in Lea County since 1940.

Six Lovington High School students Mike Binkley Able Gunn Donald Gill Dorothy Mosley Ed Newton and Thomas Ballard attended the American Bandmakers Association National Convention in Santa Fe March 7 10. The final concert March 10 featured All-State band members performing with the United States Air Force band as Lovington Band Director Rock Reed and Mrs Randy Ballard accompanied the group.
