Young people from the union Sunday School invited Baptist church members to a picnic at Mr. Jimmie Roberts Ranch, the 7HR ranch seven miles northwest of town. About nine attendees enjoyed meals, song, and dancing under willows and cottonwoods, with cream from Stay Drug Co. to end the day.

Robert Knowles contests Robert Mobley's homestead entry on land in New Mexico, alleging Mobley never resided there, kept no furnishings, and lived away for eight months, with many similar claims. The office warns Mobley to answer within twenty days, provide proof of service to the contestant, and state the post office for future notices.
Mr. and Mrs. G H Gewan and son returned from Fort Worth Texas after a Golden Anniversary celebration. A May 16 dinner at Glen Garden near Fort Worth honored relatives and friends with 35 households in attendance. The couple later hosted a six o clock dinner at their daughter’s home, Open house followed. They received many gifts including a gold headed cane and a gold handled umbrella engraved with their names.
