Manuel Rubio was shot and killed as he left church after mass. Lopez Gonzalez, age seventeen, was arrested three hours later and charged with the killing. he is held without bail.
Roswell students claim Chaves County now possesses the most Shorthorn thoroughbreds west of Ohio. The county has long imported and bred thoroughbreds, strengthening its leading position in the livestock scene.
