Santa Fe reports seven trains of twenty eight cars each carry sixty tons of ore per car daily from Santa Rita to the Hurley mill. The Chino Copper Company treats about twelve thousand tons each day.
Taos sheriff Demetrio Esquibel arrested two men in connection with the murder of Avancio Garcia at Arroyo Hondo on November 8. Antonio Valdez and Antonio Herrera, both of Arroyo Hondo, faced preliminary hearing with bonds set at 5000 and 1500 respectively. Valdez posted bond and was released.
Tim O Neill a cook confronted Girona and shot him through the heart killing him instantly. The men had no known quarrel prior. O Neill was taken to jail at Socorro.
Probate Judge Canuto Alarid approved the will of the late Judge William H. Pope with the entire estate left to his widow Mary Hull Pope. Supreme Court Justice R. H. Hanna and Assistant Attorney General Harry S Bowman testified as witnesses. J. W. Ayres appointed administrator of Guadalupe Ig Miera estate with a $500 bond.
Santa Fe report states Farmers State Bank of Texico in Curry county has been incorporated, given a charter by the State Corporation Commission with capital stock of 25,000 all paid up.
The jury in the murder trial of J. A. Houchin failed to reach a verdict. Judge H. F. Raynolds discharged them after being out twelve hours.
