Keryte, 39, killed on State Road 47 near Isleta, Clovis residents Mitchell Petty and John M. Davis involved in separate crashes, and Delina Black, 42, of Globe Arizona killed near San Antonio. Also Pfc. Joseph Drexler, 24, of Fort Bliss died after a head on crash near Glencoe. Valentin Cordova, 50, of Logan, dies in crash on Highway 54. Police investigate multiple reports of vehicles and drivers involved across the state.

Hearing Set On Suspension Of Albuquerque Loan Firm
District Judge Luis Armijo will hear on August 14 whether to permanently enjoin state bank examiner from proceeding against National Loan Company of Albuquerque. A temporary injunction blocks examiner Woodlaw Saunders from actions against J. H Taylor and P. E. Leake. Saunders says the firm violated insurance sale regulations to loan seekers. The company claims no jurisdiction over such sales and disputes Saunders authority and term appointment.

Local People Return From Nazarene Youth Camp
Rev. Milton Harrington and others returned Friday from the Nazarene Youth Camp ten miles north of Ruidosa in the mountains. The event hosted 183 registered youths with over 200 on site. Rev. R. T. Members of a pacifist committee seeking to plead for No More Hiroshimas were denied access to Los Alamos New Mexico with passes described as promptly refused except for essential business or social visits. At Sandia Base near Albuquerque assistant director Richard J Wade said the group could not enter.
