Lovington Opens Subscription School With Nine Month Term
A subscription school started last Monday with solid enrollments. Mrs. J. C. Johnson teaches for a two month term, contributing to a nine month Lovington school year. The board anticipates three first grade teachers next term and expects families from ranches to move in for schooling.

New County of Hinkle Promises Political Upset
Peel Valley News reports the creation of Hin kle county with Hope as seat. Hugh Gage introduced the bill, supported by Sen. Hinkle and several Republicans.
