A first class shower last week near Lavington brought several inches of snow over seven miles daily, with northeast winds and drizzle turning to snow on Wednesday. Snow fell across the Plain, easing cattle risk and encouraging early planting as stockmen note the mild cold snap spread smiles across all classes.
Pecos Valley News reports that the copper mine twelve miles east of Artesia changes owners. H C Rohrbaugh N M Schuster and F C Higgins now control stock, with capital at 250 009.
