Bernalillo County District Attorney Alexander Sceresse died after a sudden heart attack at age 52. He collapsed at a Northeast Heights cafeteria and died at St. Joseph's Hospital. he had led the office for 12 years and was a 1970 Democratic gubernatorial candidate.
