Lovington Youth Admits to Wanton Cattle Killing
Lovington youth G Eddie Parum 18 has admitted to wanton slaughtering of livestock valued at hundreds of dollars over 10 weeks. He reportedly killed cattle sheep hogs and poultry belonging to Lyle Gwinn Eidson and others, with total stock losses estimated at several hundred dollars. Parum previously admitted killing animals including a goat dragging incident and was committed to a mental institution before being released and re arrested after two cows and two calves died from gunshot. No Foul Play In Death of Clovis Realtor
Authorities ruled out foul play in the cremation death of real estate man Irving Kennedy who burned inside his car Wednesday. Assistant District Attorney Reuben Nieves said evidence shows Kennedy spilled gasoline on his clothing while siphoning fuel from the tank to a glass jug near the car to prime the carburetor. Kennedy's watch stopped at 9 35 a m when the burning car and he were found by Glen Best who passed by and summoned officers.

Nelson, convicted for the second time in the 1956 slaying of a California man, faces execution by gas chamber after a jury of four women and eight men verdict.
