Texas Attorney General Will Wilson filed in Amarillo a civil action accusing Billie Sol Estes and Commercial Solvents Corp. of conspiring to corner the West Texas fertilizer market and force out competitors. NM Farmer Fined In Cotton Case
A federal penalty of 5922.73 was assessed against G. V. Clayton of Otero County NM for improper transfers of allotments totaling 44.6 acres. The Agriculture Department says Clayton and others used transfers from 1961 to obtain allotments. Total penalties against involved growers reach 734328.16, with Estes of Texas facing 554162.71 in claims.

Johnny Garcia Operation Is Again Success
Little Johnny Garcia, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Garcia of 213 N Second St, underwent what was hoped to be the final operation to remove a double colostomy at Lovington Lea General Hospital. The May 3 procedure by Dr. H. C. Pannell created a new rectum, restoring normal function after an earlier Roswell specialist operation. Mrs. Garcia thanks friends for help and donations enabling her baby's restoration.

One Injured In Collision Near Rudds Cafe
Lewis Summers a 21 year old from Tatum suffered a knee injury when a 1959 Chevrolet Sedan carrying him collided with a parked car on south Main near Rudds Cafe Monday night. Richard W. Glover 22 the driver was arrested for reckless driving and posted 50 bond with hearing set later this week. Glover struck a parked 1936 International truck at the cafe causing $300 damage to his car.

Williamson Receives Eagle Scout Badge in Lovington
Jimmie Williamson, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. J R Williamson of Lovington, was awarded the Eagle Scout Badge at a Court of Honor for Boy Scout Troop 116. He is the first Lovington Scout in five years to earn the rank, which requires 21 merit badges and leadership, plus personal interviews. Williamson, a ninth grader, has led Troop 116 and plans a career in Boy Scout work. Others receiving awards included tender foot and first class badges and a hike group from the troop.

Charged With Child Neglect In Texas Case
