Police questioned Joe William Grabber a 12 year old in Little Rock after he admitted stabbing his piano teacher Mrs Kirt Killian 19 times with an eight inch hunting knife during a lesson. Neighbors watched in horror as the boy described the attack and his exit. Prosecutor J Frank Holt said the adopted son of Mr and Mrs Joe Farabher showed no remorse and was held in a juvenile detention home awaiting charges.

Six Hurt In 3 Car Crash North of Hobbs
State Police report six people injured in a three vehicle collision four miles north of Hobbs on Highway 18 at 7:30 p.m. A Hobbs pickup driven by O F Thayer pulled from Home Cafe into the median, a station wagon driven by George Cline attempted to pass and entered Thayer’s lane, then a Hobbs semi driven by Phil Withrow struck the two cars. All lights were out on the pickup and wagon. George Cline and Joanna Cline were among the injured, with multiple fractures and bruises. Other Cline family members and Mrs Thayer were treated for injuries at Lea General Hospital.

Four Youths Die Under Salt In Railroad Yard
In Detroit four boys were buried under about 60 tons of salt after a lever released a salt hopper at the International Salt Co. yards.
