Rites Held For Mrs. Lillie Fairweather Chamberlain
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Lillie Eveline Fairweather Chamberlain of Lovington at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Earl B. Brandon and Rev. Billy Beauchamp presiding. Burial followed at Lovington Cemetery. She was born December 27, 1888 in Roswell and lived in New Mexico most of her life. Survivors include her husband Earnest E Chamberlain, two sons Albert E Sparkey Fairweather and Janes E Fairweather, a daughter Mrs. Caty Thompson, 11 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Her first husband Charles Fairweather and children Gladys and Walter Fairweather preceded her in death.

Driver Skids Into Trailer In Lovington Chase
A 19 year old Navy serviceman Howard W Thornton of 202 West Clayton led police in a pursuit through Lovington driving a 1964 Ford. He skidded into Avenue B and into a trailer in the yard of Duane D Davis at 723 West. Damage to the trailer about 50 dollars and to the car about 225 dollars. A passenger Kenneth Greenwood, 20, was cited as an accessory to reckless driving. The incident occurred about 8 40 p m.

Federal warrant issued for Hobbs man in bank fraud case
George E. Reagin of Hobbs New Mexico and Levi Swingle former president of First National Bank of Cushing were named in a secret indictment by a federal grand jury. They allegedly conspired to misappropriate about 442000 of bank funds between January 4 1961 and October 9 1964. Swingle has surrendered on bond and Reagin was ordered to appear.

Police Watch Balloting In Northern NM
State police were deployed to polling places in four northern New Mexico counties at the request of Attorney General Boston Witt. Gov. Campbell ordered the patrols to maintain order and enforce election laws as voting proceeded and indicated further action could follow if requested. He planned to vote in Roswell and then meet Mexican officials about a June conference of border states in Santa Fe.
