Ten Days No Traffic Deaths In New Mexico
State police report no traffic fatalities in New Mexico for ten days with the last recorded death on March 18. The road toll for 1957 stands at 69, eight fewer than a year ago, while a 17 year old Albuquerque youth Luis Crespin died after his car was hit by a train though not counted in the road total. A severe blizzard caused cattle losses estimated 20 to 25 thousand head across Union and Colfax counties, with up to 25 percent of cattle in the two counties lost.
