Raton School Bus Missing in Blizzard
Police and National Guardsmen battled a blizzard southeast of Raton for a missing school bus carrying five students overdue since Friday. Heavy winds up to 50 mph and seven foot snow drifts hampered the search as officials dispatched guards and search teams to aid in locating the bus and its driver Felix Martinez.

Mrs Rodriquez Dies After Heart Attack
Mrs Elesia Rodriquez 46, of 605 West Avenue H, Lovington, died after a heart attack Friday evening at Loving ton Lea General Hospital. Born April 18, 1926 in Devine, she was the widow of Fidel Rodriquez killed in an auto crash in 1968. Survived by son Richard of Denton, daughters Diana Guzman of Seminole and Layla Castillo of Lovington, mother Josefa Lerma of San Antonio, two brothers and two sisters, and two grandchildren. Rosary Sunday 7:30 p.m. at Smith Rogers Chapel. Funeral Monday 11 a.m. at St Thomas Catholic Church officiated by Rev Damien Zimmerman. Interment Lovington Cemetery, Smith Rogers directing.
