Funeral services for seven year old Jeannine Davis who died Monday evening in M D Anderson Hospital Galveston are set for Thursday March 25 at 4 00 PM at the Nazarene Church. She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Dan Davis of Lovington and had battled leukemia for about four years with Rev Dudley Anderson officiating. Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery.
The fire 50 miles southeast of Albuquerque was contained on 125 to 150 acres within fire lines but not yet classified as controlled. About 100 men with two bulldozers and two ground pumpers fought it as 40 mph winds were expected. aerial tankers stood by at Alamogordo Airport.
