Roger Ranne owner of Roger's Heating and Air Conditioning reports the Lovington firm has doubled its floor area from 1250 to 2500 square feet at 120 East Avenue J. The addition uses steel panels and expands warehousing while keeping metal fabrication in the front, with plans for further growth and a strong air conditioning unit sales season. The business opened June 15 of last year.
Vonnie Jasper, manager of the Federal Land Bank Association of Roswell, attended a two day managers seminar at the Broadview Hotel in Wichita on March 17 and 18. The event gathered managers from New Mexico, Kansas, Colorado and Oklahoma, sponsored by The Federal Land Bank of Wichita.
Dole McKee Jr was arrested in Hobbs by the FBI in connection with a burglary at Hobbs First Federal Office for about 1119 dollars dated January 11 1966. He was brought to Lovington at 2 30 p m held without bond on burglary and parole violation then moved to Albuquerque for arraignment. McKee resides at 1501 East White Street Hobbs New Mexico.
Salvation Army Lovington service unit sets fundraising for May after community leaders prompt postponement. Mike Suszko, Phoenix field representative, says no set quota but Lovington yearly contributions run around 1400 dollars. per capita support is highlighted as the measure.

Snowfalls of 13 inches in 24 hours push Marquette to 22 inches with schools and businesses closed in multiple counties as the Army and Salvation Army workers operate mainly on volunteer basis in Lovington amid ongoing relief efforts.
First Baptist Church of Tatum hosts a revival March 27 to April 3 led by visiting pastor evangelist Rev. Alfred Richard of Immanuel Baptist Church Abilene Texas. Music is led by W A Anderson of First Baptist Lovington. Services run daily at 10 a.m. and 7 15 p.m.
The New Mexico Medical Society will award a 500 scholarship to the first place winner in the biological science senior division at the 4th annual New Mexico State Science Fair in Socorro on April 15 and 16. A 500 plaque is also offered to the junior division winner at the state fair. Judging emphasizes creative ability scientific thought thoroughness and clarity. Exhibits originate from regional fairs across Albuquerque Las Vegas Las Cruces Roswell and more, with two state and two regional winners advancing to the Dallas International Science Fair May 11-14.

Walter Beverly becomes operator of Beverly's Texaco Service at 503 South Main Lovington. He has lived in Lovington 20 years and previously ran Beverly's Fina Service on North Main for five years. He is married with two sons, one at LHS and one at Hardin-Simmons in Abilene. Oscar Allen, a 30 year Lovington resident, assists. The Beverly family attends First Methodist Church.
