Lovington February campaign raised close to 1000 dollars for heart research and patient aid. Memorial gifts totaled 234.71 with 494.05 from Heart Sunday efforts and 3495.62 from Yucca 4-H Club plus small club gifts. Funds support fight against heart disease and related illnesses nationwide.

McNamara Arrives in Viet Nam Pledges Full U.S. Aid
U S Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara arrived in Saigon amid a security buildup and pledged U S aid as needed to defeat the Viet Cong. He told about 2000 Vietnamese students that America’s interests are involved and that the U S will stay as long as required. His delegation included Gen. Maxwell D. Taylor and John McCone.
