Four Injured in Highway 18 Bypass Collision
Four people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on the Highway 18 Truck Bypass at Commercial Street intersection at 9 50 a m Tuesday. Officers cited 1968 Chevrolet pickup driven by Jerry Ruth and 1955 Chevrolet pickup driven by Eugene Kerbo, with Kerbo treated at Lea General Hospital for leg injuries and possible rib fracture. Two Ruth passengers also injured. A second incident on South Main near Madison at 6 50 pm involved a 1965 Chevrolet driven by William Grisham and a 1960 Mercury driven by Augustine Bara with $600 damage and no injuries. Bara cited for illegal turn.
