Work Increases At White Sands
Seventy two permanent civilian employes will be hired at White Sands Missile Range due to increased workload centered on Air Force advanced ballistic re entry systems. Hit Coin Boxes Three Break-Ins In Lovington
Lovington city police investigated three overnight break-ins on South Main and North Main streets. Burglars targeted coin boxes in cigarette machines and juke boxes at the Wagon Wheel Drive-In Pala Mar Cafe and Smokehouse Baron. Losses were about 200 dollars at the Smokehouse with earlier amounts unknown at the others. Entry varied from pried doors to pried windows and broken windows.
