Several cases were heard in Justice of the Peace court Tuese day. Theodore M. Rylucki of Hobbs pled guilty to burglary and is out on a $2500 bond with sentence deferred for one year. Freddy P. Gonzales of Lovington held on auto theft charges given a week to obtain an attorney. Truman E. Henderson of Denver pled guilty to burglary on January 1 1968 and remains out on a $500 bond with sentence deferred until July 23 1968. Tommy Joe West of Hobbs jailed on a $5000 bond for aggravated burglary after pled not guilty. John Allen Clinton of Hobbs jailed on a $5000 bond for aggravated burglary after pled guilty. Henry Holguin of Lovington sentenced to Springer for auto theft.

James William Jordan 17 son of Mr and Mrs Paul L Jordan of Lovington died in an accident near Las Vegas Nevada. The pickup overturned and Jordan was thrown from the bed suffering chest injuries and died at the scene. Funeral plans will be announced by Smithe Rogers Funeral Home. He was an Eagle Scout and active in Troop 44 and Explorer Post 68. He is survived by his parents a sister Karen Gay and his maternal grandmother Velma Bertrand.
