Atlas Blowup Investigation Completed at Roswell Site
An Air Force and safety panel completed its probe into the Atlas missile silo explosion near Roswell on June 1. The Aerospace Safety Accident Investigation Board issued a final report with 60 photographs 26 conclusions and 16 recommendations. Col. George T. Buck said the cause was accurately determined and preventive action would follow. Fire crews fought the blaze for over 19 hours with no injuries reported.

Local Police Seek Hit And Run Driver
Lovington police sought a driver and vehicle after a Friday night hit and run at 120 St Fifth Street. Two cars parked on Fifth were damaged totaling 500 dollars as a northbound car sideswiped them. a 1960 Ford Pickup suffered 350 dollars in left front damage and a 1956 Chevrolet 150 dollars on the left side, both owned by W A Wisdom. Police continued the investigation Saturday and had not located the vehicle.

The proposed bank would be named First State Bank of Clovis with organizers including Rosa Roberts and W. W.
