A one car crash on west Central at 4:23 p.m. injured LaBoone Ferguson Lloyd, 44, and Zane Lloyd, 10, of 111 South 9th. They were treated at Lovington Lea General Hospital for lacerations and released. The driver said she was looking off and ran into a tree near the alley west of the location.
Rex Cochran 83 formerly of Bell Plains Texas died yesterday evening July 7 at his ranch home after 8 pm. He was born October 31 1883 in Bell Plains Texas and married Stella Sowell May 12 1902 in Emma Crosby County Texas. He was a charter member of the Open Range Cowboy Association of Lea County a member of Taylor Street Church of Christ and Odd Fellows Lodge. The service will be held July 9 at 3 pm conducted by Mardell L with Fred Curtis assisting in Memory.
