Two legislators accuse Frank Padilla president of the New Mexico Retail Liquor Dealers Association of bragging he owned the legislature. Padilla denies the claim and also denies saying he placed Sen Dennis Chavez and Sen Clinton Anderson in Congress. Rep. Funeral today for Mrs Adams in Lovington
Funeral services are set for 9 oclock this morning at St. Thomas Catholic Church for Mrs Cruz Olivas Adams 67 of Lovington who died Monday afternoon at Lovington Sea General Hospital after a long illness. The Rev Lucian Harkins will officiate with burial in Lovington Cemetery. She was born March 9 1895 at Fort Davis Texas and lived in Lovington 26 years. Survivors include her husband Ben one daughter Mary Granger one sister Josas Butterer Carlsbad one brother Olivas Carlsbad and six grandchildren.
