Girl Survives Two Days in Plane Crash
A 10 year old girl Michelle Robson survived two days in frigid rain and near the bodies of her grandparents after a small plane crash on Rock Mountain near El Cajon California. She suffered a broken jaw and burns while the grandparents Eugene and Rachel McCaffrey of Boulder Colorado were killed. A sheriff’s rescue helicopter found the wreckage about 75 feet from the mountaintop and the girl 15 to 25 feet away in chaparral. She was taken to Fl Cajon Valley Hospital in fair condition as search efforts continued.

Funeral services for Nanny Etcheverry Yantis mother of Nancy Etcheverry of Lovington will be held tomorrow at 10 AM at First United Methodist Church. Burial follows in Lovington Cemetery. She died Wednesday at age 89 after being struck at her home. Survivors include two daughters Mrs Rudy Owens and Mrs Novelie Hoover, a son Aaron B. Yantis, and a sister Mrs Annie Ames. She earned a degree from West Texas State and taught in rural Texas for 13 years. She married Y L Yantis in Snyder on December 2, 1917.
