Rites Held For Former Governor Mabry in Albuquerque
Funeral services were held Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church for former New Mexico Governor Thomas J. Mabry aged 78. Attended by Gov. Bolack, former Gov. Miles, the state Supreme Court, and Democratic party members, Mabry died Sunday in a San Francisco hospital from anemia. Mabry, governor 1946 to 1950, later served on the labor relations board in San Francisco.

Firemen battle blazes and border chaos reported in Lovington
Lovington firefighters fought a heater treater blaze four miles southeast of Buckeye owned by Standard Oil of Texas using foam and fog, with damage around 7500 dollars.
