James McGougan a 35 year old water well driller from Lovington was killed while operating a cable tool rig at the A L Robinson place on County Road 111. Officials believe his clothing entangled in a throwout clutch caused the fatal injury. He is survived by his wife Faye two sons two daughters and a sister. Funeral services are set for Friday at 10 A M in Smith Chapel.
