Robert Winfield Sparks of Kermit Texas pleaded guilty at a Thursday arraignment before Justice of Peace Reese Greaves to forging payroll checks totaling more than 1000 dollars. Bond set at 3000 dollars. he was bound over for district court. Sparks admitted passing fraudulent checks at Western Auto Turners Department Store C R Anthony Gene s Saveway Piggly Wiggly and Cashway Super Market drawn on the First National Bank of Andrews for the Lively and Reed Construction payroll. Lovington store clerks identified him in a lineup and in photos sent to Lea County.
