Four Buried In Cement In 800-Tound Test Well

Dead 'Coon On Meredith Car Tuesday
In Oxford Mississippi UPI reports James H Meredith found a dead raccoon atop his foreign made car just before leaving the university for Christmas holidays. Meredith had just finished a class and was followed by three marshals and a federal officer into downtown Oxford. He planned to drive either to Kosciusko or Jackson where his wife attends a Negro college. Meredith had been arrested over the weekend for failing to yield the right of way and complained of police treatment. He faced a court hearing in his hometown on Wednesday.
