Two eastern New Mexico men died in a head on collision on State Road 18 in southern Roosevelt County just after midnight. Morris Shepard Thompson aged 47 from Hobbs and Wesley C. Weemes aged 39 from Portales were both killed when their cars crashed and tore the motor from Weemes car.
