Witherspoon Named To Lovington City Commission
Joe Witherspoon, Lovington used car dealer, was named to the City Commission to fill the vacancy created by Chet Dotson’s move to Wyoming. He will serve until January 1961. Witherspoon, a Navy veteran and longtime resident, founded Witherspoon Motor Co. and moved to the 1400 block South Main last July. He and wife Enid live at 302 S 5th with two sons. He joins Lions and Kiwanis and has not held public office before.
