James Mize, 21, of Andrews Texas, built a three and a half foot rig called Crossbars from 4050 used match stems while serving a four month sentence in Lea County Jail. The project took about two months and features four flags atop the rig.

Funeral services were held Monday in Tulsa Texas for X Dawson 79 father of Mrs Larry Crouse of Lovington Rev Charles Davenport Ley officiated at the First Baptist Church in that city Dawson passed away Saturday in Houston He is survived by his wife two sons his daughter Mrs Crouse of Lovington a stepson four brothers four sisters ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Nashville artist Don Todd a country gospel recording star and president of Music Evangelism will appear at First Christian Church Thursday December 8 at 7 p m.
