Carol Lee died instantly after being thrown from the highway by the same vehicle.

Driver Dies In Bloomfield On Labor Day Weekend

Lamis 29, of unknown residence died from head injuries after his car collided with a vehicle driven by Oren Curtis Armstrong in a curve on NM 44, 32 miles south of Bloomfield, near Albuquerque. The crash raised New Mexico’s Labor Day death toll to 248, as national traffic deaths mounted with 37 total for the period so far, Florida leading with four fatalities.

More Antelope Permits Okayed
The State Game Department announced 30 additional antelope hunting licenses for southeastern New Mexico. Official Levon Lee cited negotiations with Washington Lake property owners near Carlsbad as the reason, with about 1500 hunters initially gaining permission.
