County Prisoner Rhinehart Attempts Death by Self Harm
Lea County prisoner Ceril Rhinehart attempted death by slashing his wrists in the county jail shortly after noon Thursday. He was treated on scene and at Lovington Clinic, where a nurse said the wounds were not serious and he walked within minutes. Rhinehart, 28, is in jail in lieu of 1000 bond after being bound over to District Court on grand larceny charges involving about 200 dollars stolen from Mrs. W A Maxwell. Police found the dozen $20 bills at his home after his arrest Tuesday afternoon.
