Father of Val Perry Buried August 24 in Spur Texas

George Wesley Perry age 64 father of Val Perry of Lovington died August 22 in Girard Texas after a heart attack. Funeral services were held August 24 at the Baptist Church in Girard with Rev Cal Wright of Spur officiating. He was a former Methodist minister and retired. Born December 22 1892 in Stephens County Texas he married Meda Cameron in 1908 in Roger Mills County Oklahoma. He moved to Kent County Texas in 1940. Survived by wife two sons Val Earnest Perry and Benjiman Riley Perry six grandchildren and two great grandchildren a brother W A Perry of Girard and six pallbearers. Chandler Funeral Home. Clayton Rites For Jim Clayton In Lovington

James William Clayton known as Jim, 58, died August 28 in Denver City. Born September 27, 1898 in Oklahoma, he moved to Lea County in 1907 and to Denver City in 1953. Funeral services were held in Lovington with Rev. J. C. Quarles officiating. He is survived by his widow Jessie Florence Sealey, four sons, two daughters, sixteen grandchildren, and his father E. S. Clayton of Lovington.
