Texan Charged with Murders in Carlsbad Teens Case
Franklin D. Parsons of San Antonio was charged with two counts of murder in the Aug 1961 slayings of Patty Sue Pritz 14 and Mattie Catherine Restine 13 near Carlsbad New Mexico after a year long investigation. He allegedly confessed and was arraigned in Eddy County on complaints filed by county and state police officials.

Funeral services for Jack Henderson
Jack Henderson 58 of Lovington died Friday night after a two month illness. Services today at 2 p.m. at Smith-Yarbro Funeral Chapel with Rev. G W Turner officiating. Burial in Lovington Cemetery. Survivors include wife Ruth two sons William and Bobby two daughters Joy Elizabeth and Jackie Sue two brothers George and James three sisters A C Bell Walter Florence and Harley Blanton and 14 grandchildren.

Kidnapper Held By Deputies In Albuquerque Standoff
