Lovington officials opened bids for a 70 block paving job with nine firms bidding. Longenhaugh and Coe of Albuquerque submitted the low bid at 430 630.48, closely followed by Skousen-Hise Construction and O D Cowart. The nine bids came in under the city estimate, and the commission approved the low bid subject to a contract.
