Lawrence Rice 60 of 903 West I died around midnight in Clovis after being stricken on a business trip. He lived in Lovington 17 years and is survived by his wife Mary two daughters and a son five brothers one sister and five grandchildren. Funeral services set for Thursday at 2 p.m. at Jackson Avenue Baptist Church with burial in Lovington cemetery. Smith Rogers Funeral Home has arrangements.

Ginners Set New Pricing Schedule for Lea County
Lea County gins will adopt a 1967 pricing plan after a New Mexico Corporation Commission hearing. Accidents Reported In Lovington Two Car Collision
Lovington police investigated a two car accident at Main and Avenue D. A 1964 Pontiac driven by Sammy Houston and a 1967 Chevrolet owned by Wallace Oil Co and driven by Cayle Dean Griffin sustained $375 in damages after Griffin followed too close and struck the Pontiac. City Moves Park Site Named for Hammel Carrell
