Davis Enters Guilty Plea in Lovington Incident
Eugene Davis pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in Lovington on July 19 after a consult with District Atty Pat Hannigan and defense counsel. A dog valued at 1000 dollars by the American Kennel Club was reported stolen from Lovington Wednesday night. Registered as a German Wirehaired Heimer, the dog belonged to Harry Porter of 321 South Main. Porter said two men in a car with Texas plates drove off the dog about midnight while it was being trained as a Seeing Eye animal.
