Lovington Swimmers Earn Money for District Meet
Lovington Country Club Swimming Team captain Bob Wallace reports swimmers have worked hard this summer to raise funds for the district meet in Roswell. The group earned over 100 by mowing, washing cars, weed cutting, and a bake sale plus parental support. They will cover entry fees and motel lodging and are training daily. James Caldwell, Lovington Troop 44 Scoutmaster and Southern Union Gas rep, seeks volunteers for a dunking booth at the Lea County Fair August 25 26 27 28 with help from local officials including Mayor A L Hahn and Harold Baer.
