Accident injures one at 17th Street and Avenue D
State police investigated a second crash at the intersection of 17th Street and Avenue D last night at about 10 43 p m. Injuries were light. Involved were a 1969 Volkswagen driven by Ernie Covington 18 of Artesia and a 1965 Datsun pickup driven by Barbara Little 18 of Artesia. Covington turning left onto Highway 82 collided with the Datsun as Little swerved to avoid the VW. The Datsun hit a telephone pole, causing about 300 dollars in damage. Little was treated at Lovington Sea General Hospital and released.
