In Cyprus northwest mountains Greek and Turkish Cypriots fought for a day firing about 4500 shots with no reported casualties and UN said Greek Cypriots threatened a helicopter. In Saigon Viet Cong guerrillas attacked a village near the city but were repelled. two militiamen and a civilian died. A bomb in a Saigon nightclub injured five Americans and four Vietnamese.
