A memorial service at the Methodist church honors Dr Malcolm Montgomer y Crocker with tributes from friends Masons Knights of Pythias and ex servicemen. Mrs J L Wells chaired the event with music by Mrs Claude Fuller and a floral tribute from Los Angeles. The service includes a letter from his sister recounting his Christian upbringing and lifelong dedication to duty.

At a luncheon Tuesday county surveyor and city engineer J J Wells outlined a plan to place white rock letters 100 feet tall spelling Lordsburg east and west, extending 120 feet north and south. The publicity effort would cost little, with Wells doing the survey and layout for free.
